abstract PURPOSE: To easily prepare a freeze drying substance, by drying granular frozen substance obtained by dripping or spraying an aqueous solution, an aqueous suspension or an aqueous emulsion into a cryogenic liquid such as liquid nitrogen at low temp. under reduced pressure. n CONSTITUTION: An aqueous solution, an aqueous suspension or an aqueous emulsion of a rubella virus or bacillus, a cell, serum, body fluids, enzyme or a synthetic polymer is dripped or sprayed into a cryogenic liquid such as liquid nitrogen to instantaneously form a granular frozen substance. This frozen substance is drawn up from liquid nitrogen and introduced into a freeze dryer of which the shelf is cooled to 0°C or less and dried for 16hr under reduced pressure to prepare a freeze drying substance. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
