abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain an acryl rubber which can dispense with prolonged heat treatment after the vulcanization, by radical-copolymerizing a mixture containing an alkyl acrylate, an epoxy group-containing unsaturated monomer and a carboxyl group-containing unsaturated monomer at a specified weight ratio. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of (A) 60W99.8wt% alkyl acrylate containing a 1W8C alkyl group (e.g., ethylene acrylate), (B) 0.1W5wt% epoxy group-containing unsaturated monomer (e.g., glycidyl methacrylate), (C) 0.1W5wt% carboxyl group- containing unsaturated monomer (e.g., methacrylic acid), and (D) 0W30wt% ethylenically unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with components A, B and C (e.g., styrene or acrylonitrile) is radical-copolymerized to obtain the purpose acryl rubber having a Mooney viscosity (ML 1+4 , 100°C)≥10. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
