PURPOSE: To provide the titled remedy containing specific amounts of choline phosphoglyceride, acidic phospholipid, fatty acid, and lipoprotein derived from the lung of mammals. n CONSTITUTION: The objective remedy for respiratory distress syndrome contains, as active components, (A) 50.6W85.0W/V%, based on the total weight, of a choline phosphoglyceride [e.g. 1,2-dipalmitoyl glycero-(3)-phosphocholine], (B) 4.5W 37.6W/V% of an acidic phospholipid (e.g. 1,2-diacyl-s,n-glycero-(3)-phosphoric acid), (C) 4.6W24.6W/V% of a fatty acid (e.g. plamitic acid), and (D) 0.1W 10.0W/V% of a lipoprotin (obtained from the lung of mammals).
