PURPOSE: A coating material useful for bathroom having high humidity, etc., formed by specific amounts of styrene, methacrylic ester, acrylic ester, crosslinkable monomer, and polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid, respectively. n CONSTITUTION: 30W88.9wt% one or more of styrene and methacrylic ester (e.g., methyl methacrylate, etc.) is copolymerized with 10W15wt% crosslinkable acrylic ester (e.g., methyl acrylate), 1W10wt% crosslinkable monomer (e.g., methacrylic acid glycidyl ester, etc.) and 0.1W10wt% polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid to give 100pts.wt. copolymer emulsion, which is blended with 15W50pts.wt. preferably silicone emulsion (e.g., polyorganosiloxane resin, etc.), to give the desired coating material. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
