titleOfInvention Sample holder for measuring extent of drift movement
abstract PURPOSE:To improve operativity and detecting sensitivity by sandwiching a sample in a cassette which has a couple of electrodes, conductors, and a through hole and storing this cassette in a holder which has a contact and a through hole. CONSTITUTION:The cassette 7 consists of a main body 9 and a lid 10, and a couple of quartz plates 1 are connected to the conductors 12 through lead wires 4 and provided with the through hole of light. The cassette holder 8 is fitted with a conductor 12 and an elastic contact 14 for pressure contact, and a positive and a negative high-voltage pulse generator are connected thereto. When the extent of the drift movement of the sample 2 is measured, the sample 2 is sandwiched in lids 10 of the main body 9 of the cassette 7, which is stored in the holder 8; and a specific electric field pulse is impressed to iradiate the sample with a light pulse, thus taking a measurement. Consequently, the insertion and fixation of the sample are facilitated and the detection sensitivity of the measurement is improved because of high tightness.
