PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic giving a moderate style-keeping property and comfortable feeling to the hair, by using a vegetable extract extracted with a polar solvent, and keratin or a derivative obtained by the decomposition of keratin, as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair cosmetic contains (A) 0.01-1.0wt% (in terms of solid) of a component obtained by extracting a plant (e.g. birch, rosemarry, arnica, sage, etc.) with a polar solvent and (B) 0.1-5.0wt% of keratin or a derivative obtained by the decomposition of keratin. The ratio of the vegetable extract to keratin is 1-8. The solvent for the extraction of the vegetable is e.g. methanol, ethanol, propylene glycol, glycerol, etc. Keratin is e.g. animal fur, hair, feather, nail, horn, hoof, scale, etc., however, it is preferable to use the decomposed derivative of keratin, e.g. hydrolyzed product, oxidative degradation product, -SH group modification compound of the reductive degradation product, etc. |
