abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having a principal structure of a trans 1,4 bond in high yields, by polymerizing a conjugated diene compound in the presence of a catalyst comprising a solid catalyst component containing an Mg compound and a Ti (III) compound and an organoaluminum compound. n CONSTITUTION: A solid catalyst component containing a magnesium compound and a titanium (III) compound is prepared by, for example, a method comprising dissolving a titanium (III) compound (e.g., titanium trichloride) in an organic solvent (e.g., toluene) and contacting the solution with a solid magnesium compound (e.g., magnesium chloride). A conjugated diene polymer having a trans 1,4-bond as a principal structure and a limiting viscosity ≤10dl/g is obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene compound (e.g., butadiene or isoprene) in the presence of a catalyst prepared by combining the above solid catalyst component with an organoaluminum compound (e.g., diethylaluminum chloride). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
