titleOfInvention | Method for recovering protein component from feather |
abstract | PURPOSE: To recover protein from feather stably as uniform and high-quality powder, by steaming feather in a cooker, dehydrating and drying by the heat of animal oil, etc., taking out of the cooker, squeezing and deoiling the product. n CONSTITUTION: Feather is put into a cooker, closed, and steamed to effect hydrolysis of the feather. The steaming is carried out preferably by pressing hot steam into the jacket of the cooker, and heating the feather at 120W160°C for 30W60min. After hydrolysis, an oil such as animal oil, vegetable oil, mineral oil, etc. is charged into the cooker, and the water in the feather tissue is removed and the water-soluble protein of the feather is thermally dried at an oil temperature of preferably about 120°C. The product is taken out of the cooker, squeezed and deoiled to recover the protein component from feather. n USE: Feed, fertilizer, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
