PURPOSE: A cream agent, obtained by adjusting the pH to a specific range in dispersing hydrocortisone butyrate propionate in a base material consisting of a higher paraffinic hydrocarbon, water and a surfactnat, and having improved percutaneous absorbability and storage stability. n CONSTITUTION: A cream agent obtained by adding a suitable amount of citric or lactic acid, etc. to adjust the pH to 3.5W6.5, preferably 4.0W6.0 range when diluted with distilled water to 20 times in dispersing 0.01W0.5pts.wt. hydrocortisone butyrate propionate (chemical name: 17α-butyryloxy-21-propionyloxy-11β- hydroxy-4-pregnene-3,20-dione) which is a corticosteroid for external use having improved anti-inflammatory action with little side effect in a cream base material consisting of 5W50pts.wt. higher paraffinic hydrocarbon, e.g. light liquid paraffin, 3W15pts.wt. surfactant, preferably a nonionic surfactant, and 30W 65pts.wt. water. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio |
