titleOfInvention Protection from ultraviolet rays using novel ultraviolet light absorber
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a photostabilized polmer composition highly resistant to heat and oxidation, free from bleeding out, having been prevented from deterioration by shielding ultraviolet light, by incorporating a cyclic imino ester as an ultraviolet light absorber in a polymer of high melting point. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100pts.wt. of a polymer (e.g., a thermoplastic resin) with (B) as an ultraviolet light absorber, pref. 0.05W5pts.wt. of a compound in the form of unreacted condition, selected from cyclic imino esters of formula I (X' is a divalent aromatic group; n is 1, 2 or 3; R 1 is n-valent hydrocarbon) or formula II (A is expressed by formula III or IV; R 2 and R 3 are each monovalent hydrocarbon; X 2 is a tetravalent aromatic group) [e.g., 2-methyl-3,1-benzoxazine-4-one or 2,8-dimethyl- 4H,6H-benzo (1,2-d; 5,4-d')bis-(1,3)-oxazine-4,6-dione], followed by kneading under molten state. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
