titleOfInvention Agent for combatting insect pests in soil
abstract PURPOSE: The titled combatting agent that contains a dithiol phosphate ester as an active ingredient, thus showing excellent combatting effect on insect pests living in soil and eating rice plants, vegetables, lawn and fruit trees, in particular against harmful insect living in roots of corn. n CONSTITUTION: The objective agent contains a dithiol phosphate ester of formula I (R, R' are methyl, ethyl) as an active ingredient. The agent is combined with solid or liquid carrier, when necessary, further with surfactants and other additive for making a preparation to produce a solution or emulsion. The content of the active ingredient is 0.1W99.9, preferably 1W80wt% in the preparation. The compound of formula I is obtained by condensation reaction between a dithiophosphate salt of formula II (M is alkali metal atoms; A is methyl, ethyl) and an alkyl halide of the formula: B.Hal (B is n-propyl, when A is methyl; or methyl, when A is n-propyl). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
