titleOfInvention Rubber composition having improved strength
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having high elastic modulus and excellent tear strength and flexural fatigue resistance, by compounding a specific amount of a syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene having high melting point to a specific high-cis 1,2-polybutadiene polymer prepared by using a lanthanide rare earth metal catalyst. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 5W 40wt% preferably 7W25wt% of a syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene having high melting point to (B) a high-cis 1,4-polybutadiene, a high-cis 1,4-polyisoprene and/ or a high-cis 1,4-butadiene/isoprene copolymer obtained by using a catalyst consisting of (i) a lanthanide rare earth metal compound (e.g. neodium trichloride), (ii) an organic aluminum compound (e.g. triethyl aluminum) and if necessary (iii) a Lewis acid (e.g. diethyl aluminum chloride) and/or a Lewis base (e.g. acetylacetone). n USE: Raw material of a tire for low fuel consumption. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
