titleOfInvention Control of gastropod
abstract PURPOSE: To control gastropoda such as slugs, snails, etc., by forming directly or indirectly a film of powder of electrolytic salt bound with a water-insoluble high polymer on positions to repel invasion of the gastropoda. n CONSTITUTION: A solution of water-insoluble high polymer (e.g., natural rubber, synthetic rubber, or vinyl acetate) in an organic solvent is added to powder of electrolytic salt to give dispersion, which is directly applied to positions to repel invasion of gastropoda by brush, spatula, knife coater, etc., or it is previously applied to a sheet substrate of continuous length such as paper, cloth, plastic, etc. to give a repellent sheet, which is indirectly set on paths of gastropoda, to control gastropoda. A single salt, double salt, or complex of Na, K, Mg, Ca, Al, Fe, copper, zinc, tin, lead, or ammonium group can be used as the electrolytic salt. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
