abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricating layer free from a break and having a favorable wettability by coating a soln. prepd. by dissolving a surfactant and perfluoropolyester in freon and to provide an arbitrary thickness to the lubricating layer by changing the composition of the soln. CONSTITUTION:A mixed soln. is prepd. by dissolving a lubricant contg. fluorine such as ''KRYTOX 143AC'', ''KRYTOX 143AD'', ''KRYTOX 143AX'', ''KRYTOX 143AB'', ''HOMBLIN Y'' or ''DAIFLOIL'' and a surfactant represented by the general formula (where Rf is 5-13C alkyl contg. F, R' is 3 or 4C alkylene, plural kinds of alkylene groups may be contained in the molecule, (m) is 1-50, and (n) is a number corresponding to 20-80% of the mol.wt. of the polyoxyethylene chain) in a suitable freon solvent such as trichlorotrifluoroethane, tetrachlorodifluoroethane or trichloromonofluoromethane. A solvent such as ethanol or acetone may be added to the soln. The soln. is coated on a recording medium by immersing the medium in the soln. or by applying spin coating, spray coating or other method, and the coated soln. is air-dried to obtain a lubricating layer. The soln. may be dried with a dryer, a blower or the like. |
