titleOfInvention Method and apparatus for measuring concentration of material included in blood or urine
abstract PURPOSE:To detect concentration, by separating blood into a blood corpuscle part and a blood plasma part based on the difference in moving speeds of diffusing materials, and grasping the amount of the reflected light as scattered light, which is part of light having a specified wavelength that is projected on a component such as bilirubin included in the blood plasma part. CONSTITUTION:On the upper surface of a substrate 11 comprising a slide glass and the like, filter paper 12, whose average size of texture is about 0.2-3mum, is mounted. A transparent cover glass 13, which has a long shape, is provided so as to cover the upper surface. Blood 15 is dropped in a gap 16 between the substrate 11 and the cover glass 15 and diffused in the filter paper 12. The concentration of colorless creatinine and the like other than colored bilirubin can be measured. In this case, a coloring reagent is infiltrated in advance. Light having a specified wavelength, which absorbs the hue of a material to be measured is projected. An incident optical system comprises a light source lamp 17, a filter 18, and a condensor lens 19. In the case of bilirubin, an interference filter of 455nm is used as the filter 18, and a convex lens 20 is used. Reflected scattered light A of the incident light to the blood plasma part is converged to a detector 21 through the condenser lens 20, and the amount of the light is detected.
