abstract | PURPOSE: An oil-soluble and water-soluble binder not causing environmental pollution, capable of being powdered simply, preparing a molded article having high content of filler, comprising a water-soluble substance, an esterification product of a polycarboxylic acid and a polyol as an active ingredient. n CONSTITUTION: A binder comprising a water-soluble substance, an esterification product of (A) a polycarboxylic acid selected from citric acid, isocitric acid, aconitic acid, tricarballylic acid, and 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic acid and (B) a polyol selected from glycerine, diglycerine, pentaerythritol, dipentaerythritol, trimethylolethane, trimethylolpropane, ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol having ≤600mol.wt., and polypropylene glycol having ≤1,000mol.wt., or a mixture of the water-soluble substances as an active ingredient.
