abstract | PURPOSE: To provide the titled food effective to improve the brightness of the skin, eliminate the flabbiness and wrinkle of the skin and improve the spreadability of cosmetic to the skin, by extracting a specific mixture of crude drugs with water or an aqueous alcohol. n CONSTITUTION: A mixture of crude drugs consisting of 5pts.wt. of SERI (root of Angelica sinensis), 4W10pts.wt. of SANSHO (peel of zanthoxylum schinifolium), 4W6pts.wt. of SHOKYO (rhizome of zingiber officinale), 2W4pts.wt. of KOKA (flower of carthamus tinctorius), 4W6pts.wt. of UKON (rhizome of curcuma longa) and 4W5pts.wt. of YOKUININ (seed of coix lacryma-jobi) is boiled in 9W11 times weight, based on the mixture, of water or 30W50% aqueous solution of an alcohol for about 3hr to extract the active components, and the extracted liquid is concentrated at 50W70°C under reduced pressure.
