titleOfInvention Hypotensor
abstract PURPOSE: A hypotensor that contains an alkylenedioxybenzene or its acid adduct as an active ingredient, thus showing rapid and durative effect with weak acute toxicity and high safety. n CONSTITUTION: The objective hypotensor contains, as an active ingredient, a compound of formula I [n is 1W6; Z is -(CH 2 ) m -(m is 1W3), formula II (R 1 is H, 1W3C alkyl; R 2 is 1W5C alkyl); Y is -CH(OH)-, -C(O)-, formula III ( 3 is H, 1W5C alkyl, acyl); R is pyridyl, phenyl which may be substituted with halogen or 1W5C alkyl] such as 5-[2-(4-phenyl-1-piperazinyl)-1-hydroxyethyl]-1,3-benzodioxol. It can be given orally or parenterally and its dose usually is 1W 30mg/kg/day. For example, the compound where Y is -C(O)- is obtained by reaction of an α-halogenoalkanoyl-alkylenedioxybenzene of formula IV with a piperazine of formula V. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
