titleOfInvention Production of heat-resistant polyester
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled polymer having improved heat resistance and stability, and reduced terminal carboxyl groups of polyester, by reacting a polyester with an ester bond-containing aziridine compound having a specific structure. n CONSTITUTION: (A) A polyester consisting of (i) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and (ii) 2W6C glycol component is reacted with 0.2W5wt% ester bond-containing aziridine compound[e.g., 1-(p-acetoxyphenyl)-aziridine, etc.] shown by the formula I (R 1 is monofunctional hydrocarbon; R 2 is bifunctional hydrocarbon; n is 0 or 1), to give the desired polymer having an amount of terminal carboxyl groups reduced to ≤15g equivalent based on 10 6 g polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1984,JPO&Japio
