abstract | PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer type heat-sensitive recording material having sufficient color density and sensitivity, by combining a transfer sheet having a heat-meltable transfer layer containing an electron-donating colorless dye and a specific heat-meltable material with an image-receiving sheet containing an electron-accepting compound. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet in which a heat-meltable transfer layer (e.g., p-t-butylpheyl benzyl ether or 2-benzyloxynaphthalene) containing one or more of heat-meltable materials of formula II (wherein R2 is an alkyl, aralkyl, alkylcarbonyl, or arylcarbonyl) or formula I (wherein R1 is an alkyl or aralkyl and Y is an alkyl, alkoxy, aralkyl, phenyl, or halogen) and an electron-donating colorless dye (e.g., a triarylmethane compound or a xanthene compound) is provided on a support is combined with an image-receiving sheet in which an electron-accepting compound (e.g., kaolin or phenol-aldehyde polymer) is provided on a support to produce a transfer type heat-sensitive recording material. |
