titleOfInvention Novel preparation of nitro group-containing carbonyl compound
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain the titled substance useful as an intermediate for drugs and agricultural chemicals in high yield, by reacting a nitroalkane with an α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound in the presence of ≥ equimolar amount of 1,8- diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undeca-7-ene. n CONSTITUTION: An α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compound having an alkyl or aryl group at the α and/or β position of the carbonyl group is reacted with a nitroalkane having an active hydrogen at the α-position in the presence of ≥ equimolar amount of a compound shown by the formula at approximately room temperature, to give a carbonyl compound having NO 2 at the γ position.
