PURPOSE: A resin composition with self-extinguishing property excellent in heat stability, heat resistance and resistance to weather-induced discoloration, which is prepd. by compounding a mixture consisting of a thermoplastic resin primarily composed of a rubber-reinforced styrene resin, and an oligomeric halogen compd. with an alkyltin maleate polymer. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. blend consistig of 70W90wt% thermoplastic resin primarily composed of a rubber-reinforced styrene resin such as an acrylonitrile- butadiene-styrene copolymer and 30W10wt% oligomeric halogen compd. such as a low-molecular polycarbonate having 2W10 repeating units of the formula (wherein X 1 and X 2 are each Br or Cl; n and m are each 1W4; Y is alkylene, -SO 2 -, etc.) is compounded with at least 0.1pt.wt. alkyltin maleate polymer such as dibutyltin maleate polymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
