titleOfInvention Modified polymer composition
abstract PURPOSE: A composition capable of giving polyurethane foam with excellent elastic characteristics and hardness, which is prepd. by dispersing a copolymer contg. an ethylenic unsaturated monomer contg. polyoxyalkylene chain in a polyhydric polyol in a stable state. n CONSTITUTION: The titled composition prepd. by dispersing a copolymer of ethylenic unsaturated monomer (A) of formulaI(wherein A and B are each -CH 2 CH 2 -, or a group of formula II; E is >C=0 or -CH 2 -; R 1 is H or methyl; R 2 is H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, benzyl, allyl, methallyl, acryloyl, or methacryloyl; n and m are each 0W50) such as poly (oxyethylene) glycol methyl ether methacrylate having a polyoxyalkylene chain in the molecule, and an ethylenic unsaturated monomer (B) such as methacrylonitrile in a polyhydric polyol in a stable state. A polyurethane foam pred. by use of the composition is excellent in elastic characteristics and hardness and has little permanent set. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
