titleOfInvention Production of modified nylon 6
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a nylon 6 having good dyability to basic dyestuffs, by polymerizing ε-caprolactam after the addition of a specific lithium dicarboxybenzenesulfonate. n CONSTITUTION: ε-Caprolactam is polymerized under 1W7kg/cm 2 at 220W270°C in the presence of 0.3W3mol% lithium dicarboxybenzenesulfonate of the formula (wherein X, X' is COOH, RCOOH; R is C 1W3 alkylene group) and 0.5W2wt% water and, if necessary, a diamine (e.g. ethylenediamine). n EFFECT: The resulting nylon 6 has homogeneous quality and does not give any white by-product. The rising of back-pressure during spinning is small, and the stable spinning is possible for a long period. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
