titleOfInvention Preparation of immunoactive particle
abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an immunoactive particle, by a method wherein an immunoactive substance with an amino group is reacted with a particle obtained by polymerizing glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate in a medium which dissolves monomers but allows the produced polymer to precipitate. CONSTITUTION:A polymer in the form of particle with an average diameter of 0.03-10mum is obtained by polymerizing glycidyl acrylate or glycidyl methacrylate in a medium which dissolves monomers but separates out the polymer produced by the polymerization, such as ethyl acetate, n-propyl acetate, isopropyl acetate or the like. Then, a reagent is obtained by fixing an immunoactive substance on a carrier particle by means of a covalent bond between the free epoxy group on the particle-shaped polymer surface and the amino group of the immunoactive substance. According to the present invention, it is possible to produce free-epoxy group-containing carrier particles having a diameter suitable for an immunological inspection as well as having a narrow particle-diameter distribution only in a single stage.
