titleOfInvention Composition containing iron
abstract PURPOSE: A composition, containing iron, obtained by incorporating ferrous fumarate with citric acid to eliminate the astringency, and adding a sweetening agent, flavoring agent, vitamins, etc. thereto, eaten by a young pig willingly, and having improved preventing effects on the anemia and growth promoting effects, etc. of the young pig. n CONSTITUTION: 10W50wt% ferrous fumarate having improved preventing effects on the anemia of a young pig is mixed with 1W10wt% cirtic acid having improved effects on the elimination of the astringency from the ferrous fumarate. Small amounts of a sweetening agent, e.g. a licorice extract, and a flavoring agent, e.g. milk chocolate flavor, are added thereto for improving the palatability thereof. Vitamin B 12 , vitamine C and folic acid are mixed therewith for promoting the hematogenic function, and vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and calcium pantothenate are mixed. Lactose, α-starch, etc. as a base are added thereto. The resultant mixture is molded into pellets, etc. easily eaten by a young pig to give the aimed composition containing the iron. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
