abstract PURPOSE: A water-dispersed paint with excellent adhesion, heat resistance and corrosion resistance, obtd. by compounding a polyphenylene sulfide resin with a furan resin and then adding an inorg. filler. n CONSTITUTION: A polyphenylene sulfide resin (A), a polymer having a repeating unit of the formula is compounded with a furan resin (B) such as a condensate of furfuryl alcohol alone or together with furfural in a proportion of about 99/1W60/40 or 1/99W40/60. Then the resulting mixture is compounded with about 5W50wt%, based on the sum of components A and B, inorg. filler such as glass fiber, a ceramic fiber or silica and dispersed in water to prepare the purpose corrosion resisting paint.
