PURPOSE: To prepare a novel thermosetting resin composition free from odor and toxicity of formalin, etc. originated from the curing agent such as amino resin, etc., by using specific amounts of a copolymer containing glycidyl group and acid anhydride group and a specific compound as essential components. n CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 20W99pts.wt. of a copolymer consisting of (i) 5W50wt% monomer containing glycidyl group (e.g. glycidyl acrylate), (ii) 3W30% polymerizable unsaturated acid anhydride (e.g. maleic anhydride) and (iii) 20W92% other copolymerizable monomer (e.g. methyl acrylate) and (B) 1W80pts.wt. of a hydroxyl group-containing compound (e.g. methanol), a carboxyl group-containing compound (e.g. succinic acid) and/or an amino group-containing compound (e.g. ethylenediamine). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
