titleOfInvention Molded body for converting light wavelength, condensing light and emitting it
abstract PURPOSE:To convert short wavelength light into desired longer wavelength light, and to emit a light highter in intensity than the light absorbed, by dissolving a vat dye type pigment in a transparent plastics and molding of a specified form. CONSTITUTION:A molded body consisting of a composition made by dissolving a vat dye type pigment, such as anthraquinone series (pyranthrones or the like), thioindigo series (thioindigo or the like), or purinones (12-H-phthalopurin-12- one or the like) into a transparent plastics to give about 0.0001-1wt% concentration, and it has such a form as capable of reflecting most of fluolescent light emitted from this pigment and condensing, such as sheet, thread, board, rod, or pipe, so as to have a smooth surface and >=10 ratio of light absorption area/ light emission area. This molded body converts the light absorbed from the light absorption face into longer wavelength light, emits this, condenses it by total reflection, and reflects it from the emission face.
