abstract | PURPOSE: To prepare a lubricant capable of reducing the frictional coefficient between the disc and the contacting styrus, and preventing the degradation of the characteristics by abrasion, lowering of life, and generation of static charge by friction, by diluting a specific polyoxyethylene alkyl ester with a solvent. n CONSTITUTION: The objective lubricant is prepared by diluting a polyoxyethylene alkyl ester composed of (A) an acid selected from palmitic acid, margaric acid and stearic acid and (B) a polyoxyalkyl of formula (C 2 H 4 O) m H(m is 3W20) bonded to the component (A) through ester linkage, with a solvent such as trichlorotrifluoroethane.
