titleOfInvention | Preparation of polyester |
abstract | PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester providing a film, etc. having improved surface properties, containing a large amount of uniform and fine particles, by adding respectively specific amounts of Ca-, Li-, and phosphorus compounds successively to a reaction system at a specific period of the last period of an esterification. n CONSTITUTION: At a time when an esterification ratio of the direct esterification of (A) terephthalic acid with (B) ethylene glycol reaches 91W99%, (C) a calcium compound (e.g., calcium acetate, etc.) and (D) a lithium compound (e.g., lithium acetate, etc.) preferably as a blend in amounts to satisfy the formulasIand II (Li and Ca are mol% of component C and D to component A respectively) are added to a reaction system and dispersed uniformly, and (D) a phosphorus compound (preferably methyl phosphate, etc.) in an amount to satisfy the formula III, so that polycondensation is carried out, to give the desired polyester. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
