titleOfInvention Manufacture of molded type eletrical apparatus
abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a molded type electrical apparatus which is readily manufactured and has a large mechanical strength, by a method wherein into a container housing an electrical apparatus such as transformer, a powder-shaped inorganic material and a powder-shaped thermoplastic resin, which have been mixed, are filled and then molded by heating. n CONSTITUTION: After an electrical apparatus comprising iron cores, coils and the like, such as a constant-voltage transformer, has been housed in a metal container 2, a filling material obtained by uniformly dispersing a small quantity of thermoplastic resin (suitably, bisphenol system epoxy resin, novolak system epoxy resin or the like) into inorganic powder is filled in the air gap in the container 2 to form the first filling material layer 3. Then, into the upper part of the filling material layer 3, a solventless thermoplastic resin (suitably, epoxy resin) having a low viscosity is injected to form the second filling material layer 4. Thereafter, a heating treatment is applied in order to melt and harden the resin powder in the filling material layer 3 to integrally mold the inorganic powder firmly. In addition, as the epoxy resin, one having a particle size 10W80μ is preferable. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
