titleOfInvention Cardiotonic agent
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare a cardiotonic agent having positively inotropic activity and coronary blood stream increasing activity, and useful as a remedy for the cardiac diseases such as congestive heart, by using a carbostyril derivative including novel compound as an active component. n CONSTITUTION: A cardiotonic agent containing a carbostyril derivative of formula 1(R 1 is H, lower alkyl, etc.; R 2 and R 3 are H, lower alkyl, etc. which may have hydroxyl group as a substituent; A is lower alkylene; the C-C bond between the 3- and the 4-positions of the carbostyril skeleton is single or double), e.g. 6-3(benzylamino-propoxy)-3,4-dihydrocarbostyril, or its salt as an active component. The compound of formula 1 has excellent positively inotropic activity and coronary blood stream increasing activity, and extremely weak effect to the increase in heart rate. The compound of formula 1 can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula 2 with the compond of formula 3 in an inert solvent in the presence of an acid acceptor (e.g. NaOH). n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
