titleOfInvention Stabilized methylchloroform composition
abstract PURPOSE: The titled composition that contains, as a stabilizer, a glycerol monofatty acid ester such as glycerol monostearate, thus being used as a solvent for washing metal products for defatting, coating or adhesive, because of its high stability to iron, copper and zinc. n CONSTITUTION: A glycerol monofatty acid ester of the formula (R is aliphatic hydrocarbon of 18 or less carbon atoms) such as glycerol monocaproate, glycerol monolaurate is used as a stabilizer to give a stabilized methylchloroform composition. The amount of the stabilizer added is more than 0.001g per 100ml of methylchloroform. The composition shows high anticorrosive property to metals for general purposes such as iron, copper or zinc even in the presence of water. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
