abstract PURPOSE: The titled polyester container with excellent decorative appearance free from milk white color, which is prepd. by the addition of a specified proportion of an inorg. particle of average particle size 1W10μ followed by orientation. n CONSTITUTION: A container prepd. by compounding a polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate of intrinsic viscosity ≥ about 0.6 and softening temp. about 220W270°C with an inorg. inert paricle such as powdered calcium carbonate of average particle size 1W10μ in an amt. satisfying the formula[wherein T (%) is light transmission of 20W80% at the portion maximally orientated; H (%) is haze of 20W98%; W (%) is content of the inert particle], and then orientating the resulting compound in such a manner that part of the hull is orientated at least in one direction. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
