titleOfInvention Preparation of microbial cell
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare microbial cells containing a large amount of iron which is prsent in the human body and is essential for keeping the health, by culturing specific microorganisms in a medium containing a water-soluble iron compound. n CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble iron compound which does not extremely affect the growth of the objective microorganism and can be taken in the microbial cell in high efficiency, e.g. ferrous citrate, ferrous gluconate, ferrous fumarate. ferrous lactate, etc. is added to a medium in high concentration, e.g. at 50W500ppm, and edible microorganisms capable of taking the iron compound in the cell, e.g. Saccharomyces uvarum, Aspergillus oryzae, etc. are cultured in the medium to obtain the objective microbial cells. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
