titleOfInvention Dispersant of alumina
abstract PURPOSE: To provide a dispersant prepared so as to obtain an aqueous slurry of alumina having sufficient moldability by compounding an ammonium salt of a copolymer wherein methacrylic acid occupies the majority part of a constitutional unit thereof and an org. amine. n CONSTITUTION: Said dispersant for preparing an aqueous slurry of alumina contains an ammonium salt of a (Co)polymer wherein a (meth)acrylic acid unit is 50% or more in a total consitutional unit and, according to necessity, other vinyl monomer unit is contained and an org. amine as available components. If said dispersant is used in an amount of 0.05W5wt% against alumina, an aqueous slurry having sufficient moldability in a small amount of water is obtained. Said copolymer dispersant is obtained by a method wherein a monomer such as methacrylic acid or the like containing a polymerization initiator is added to a solvent and, after polymerization, the solvent is removed and the obtained polymer is diluted with water and, thereafter, neutralized by ammonia, an org. amine. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
