titleOfInvention Aqueous dispersion of ethylene type copolymer
abstract PURPOSE: A dispersion useful for bonding a metal to a polyolefin resin without lowering water resistance, etc., forming a thin film, obtained by blending an ethylene type copolymer, etc. with polyvinyl alcohol, melamine compound etherified by an alkyl, and water. n CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. ethylene type copolymer containing a group shown by the formulaIin the molecule or its salt, e.g., copolymer of methylene and methacrylic acid is blended with 2W30pts.wt. polyvinyl alcohol having a sapanification degree of ≥65mol%, e.g., partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol having 0.5W3mol% introduced organix acid, 0.5W10pts.wt. melamine compound etherified by an alkyl shown by the formula II (A is CH 2 or C 2 H 4 ; R1 is 1'4C hydrocarbon; R is methyl, phenyl, etc.), and 30W1,000pts.wt. water. For example, the ethylene type copolymer is blended with an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol to give a blend, to which the melamine compound is added. The dispersion has an average particle diameter of the ethylene copolymer particles of ≤3μ. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
