titleOfInvention | Novel compound (gamma-glutamyl-4-(5-hydroxy-7,9,11,14-eicosatetraenoic acid-6-yl)-4,4- dioxocysteinyl)glycine |
abstract | NEW MATERIAL:[γ-Glutamyl-4-(5-hydroxy-7,9,11,14-eicosatetraenoic acid-6-yl)- 4,4-dioxocysteinyl]glycine of formula. n USE: Useful as a drug. It has bronchial muscle contracting, blood vessel transmission promoting, and smooth muscle contracting activities. It exhibits extremely long-acting smooth muscle contracting activity compared with acetylcholine and histamine, and is useful for the investigation of the physiology of smooth muscle. n PROCESS: Rat or guinea pig is sensitized with a mixture of an antigen such as egg white albumin and an immunity adjuvant such as Freund's complete adjuvant by conventional sensitizing technique, and after the sensitization, the antigen is infused in the abdominal cavity. The compound of formula can be separated from the ascites by a proper combination of separation and purification processes such as chromatography, solvent extlaction, etc. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
