abstract PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity, durability, etc. of an electrophotographic receptor used for electrophotographic copies and the like by containing an org. photoconductive material cnsisting of pyrazoline compounds in the photosensitive layer of said photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:The pyrazoline compound expressed by the formula II is synthesized by causing the ketone expressed by the formulaI(R is C2-C6 alkyl) to react with the hydrazine expressed by the formula X-NH-NH2 (X is aryl, pyridyl, quinolyl that may have substitutents) or its mineral acid salt or the like. The compound of the formula II is contained as an electric charge transport material in the photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic receptor, for example, the electric charge transfer layer of an electrophotographic receptor constituted of a conductive layer, an electric charge generating layer, an electric charge transfer layer, etc. Thereby, the decrease in the surface potential and sensitivity in the repetitive use of the photoreceptor is reduced, the rise in residual potential is made negligible, and durability is improved.
