titleOfInvention Production of 2,2-dichlorovinyl ether
abstract PURPOSE: The reaction between an ester such as phenyl formate or lactone such as ε-caprolactone, carbon tetrachloride and triphenylphosphine gives the titled compound used as a nematocide by simple operations in high efficiency. n CONSTITUTION: The reaction between an ester of formula I (R 1 is H, alkyl, aryl; R 2 is alkyl, aryl; R 1 and R 2 may incoporate to form a ring; when they form a ring, -R 1 -R 2 is carbon chain of 4 or more carbon atoms and the chain may be substituted with alkyl or aryl groups or condense with aryl groups) such as ethyl acetate or ethyl benzoate or a lactone such as 3,4-dihydrocoumarin, carbon tetrachloride and triphenylphosphine is conducted at 50W100°C, preferably under reflux in a solvent to give a 2,2-dichlorovinyl ether of formula II. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
