titleOfInvention | Method of spinning polyester fiber |
abstract | PURPOSE: A polymer of small spherulite diameter, which is prepared by polycondensation reaction between terephthalic acid and glycol in the presence of an anitmony compound under specific conditions, is melt-spun and taken up at a high speed to produce the titled fiber causing no yarn break on spinning and no reduction in yarn strength. n CONSTITUTION: (A) Difunctional carboxylic acids mainly consisting of terephthalic acid and (B) glycols mainly consisting of ethylene glycol are esterified and (C) an antimony compound such as antimony trioxide is added to the esterification mixture by 1W100mmol%, based on component A, calculated as Sb, before the esterification is completed. Further, an antimony compound is added in the period between after the completion of esterification and until the completion of polycondensation by 1W100mmol%, based on component A, calculated as Sb, and the polycondensation reaction is conducted to produce a polymer including spherulites of less than 15μ diameter, measured by a differential scanning-type calorie meter. The resultant polymer is melt-spun and taken up at a speed higher than 2,000m/min. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
