titleOfInvention Manufacture of hot water storage tank
abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the heat-insulating property of a hot water storage tank by a method in which the peripheral edge portion of a small-diameter cylinder is contacted with the edge portion of the opening of a large-diameter cylinder, and then an expansible synthetic resin is cast into a hollow formed by the large-diameter cylinder and the small-diameter cylinder and expanded to form a heat-insulating container. n CONSTITUTION: By cutting off a hollow plastic molding at the boundary between a large-diameter cylinder and a contracted step portion 3, a bottomed large-diameter cylinder 1 is separated from a bottomed small-diameter cylinder 2 whose opening edge has an outer skirt 5. And, the peripheral edge portion of the outer skirt 5 of the small-diameter cylinder 2 is contacted with the inside of the large-diameter cylinder 1, and then an expansible synthetic resin 7 is cast into a hollow 6 formed by the large-diameter 1 and the small-diameter cylinder 2 and expanded to form a heat- insulating container 8. The heat-insulating container 8 is closed with a heat-insulating cover 9 to form a hot water storage tank. Thus, a hot water storage tank having a high structural strength, a high durability, and a highly consistent heat-insulating property can be obtained by reducing the number of assembling processes. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
