abstract | PURPOSE: The titled solventless composition of the high concentration type, having improved performance as a binder, comprising a specific liquid modified isoprene rubber, a tackifier, and a polyisocyanate compound. n CONSTITUTION: One or more OH-containing modified liquid isoprene rubber (LIR for short) selected from a modified LIR with addition of N-(hydroxyhydrocarbyl) maleimide, e.g., N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-maleimide, etc., obtained by subjecting LIR having a molecular weight of preferably 20,000W75,000 and a vinyl bond amount of ≤20wt% to addition reaction with 0.35W10.5mol% maleic anhydride, followed by reacting the reaction product with an amino alcohol, e.g., ethanolamine, etc. and dehydration, and a modified LIR with addition of maleic acid hydroxyhydrocarbyl ester obtained by reacting maleinized LIR with an oxirane-containing compound, e.g., ethylene oxide, etc. are blended with preferably 20W60wt% tackifier, e.g., terpene resin, etc. and a polyisocyanate compund in an amount corresponding to 0.7W2 equivalent OH in modified LIR. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
