titleOfInvention Flame-retardant resin composition
abstract PURPOSE: A polyestercarbonate composition that contains aromatic halides, thus showing increasd flame retardancy with no adverse effect on its physical properties. n CONSTITUTION: Polyestercarbonate (100pts.wt.) is combined with 3W70pts. of aromatic halides such as decabromodiphenyl ether, decabromodiphenyl or decachlorodiphenyl ether. The combinaion with antimony trioxide is effective. The resultant composition is mixed with various kinds of thermoplastic resins according to application purposes. The polyestercarbonate contains aromatic dicaboxylic groups and carbonate groups at a molar ratio of 1/99W99/1, preferably 10/90W 90/10, and preferably has a polymerization degree of 50W500, which may be either a block polymer or a random copolymer. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
