PURPOSE: To improve dispersion stability of titanium dioxide in RFL (aq. dispersion contg. resorcinol-formaldehyde condensate and rubber latex) and prevent cords from generating white spots, by blending carboxylic acid type high molecular active agent to RFL water dispersion for making fiber-reinforced rubber white. n CONSTITUTION: In a RFL water dispersion for bonding and treating rubber reinforced fabric of tire cords or the like, a treatment liquid of a compound of 30W 3pts.wt. of titanium dioxide to 100pts. of solid RFL and 0.3W3pts.wt. of carboxylic acid type high molecular active agent (e.g. Na salt of saponified copolymer of vinyl acetate with maleic acid) to 100pts. of titanium dioxide. Becuase that titanium dioxide is added, white RFL-treated fiber is obtained. Additionally, becuase that the specific high molecular active agent is added, high dispersion stability of titanium dioxide is attained and white spots are not generator or the fiber. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
