PURPOSE: The titled composition that is made by adding a metal salt of a carboxyl- containing compound consisting of a terminal carboxyl-bearing polymer of a specific polymerization degree and of a monocarboxylic acid to a halogen-containing resin, thus showing high heat stability, lubricity and transparency. n CONSTITUTION: To (A) 100pts.wt. of a halogen-containing resin such as polyvinyl chloride, are added (B) preferably 0.1W20pts. of a metal salt of the carboxyl- containing compound consisting of (a) 50W100mol% of a terminal carboxyl-containing polymer of less than 50 polymerization degree, obtained by polymerization of a polymerizable unsaturated monomer such as styrene or butyl acrylate in the presence of a mercaptocarboxylic acid such as mercaptoacetic acid, and of (b) 50W0mol% of a monocarboxylic acid of 2W30 carbon atoms such as 2-ethylhexoic acid to produce the objective composition. n EFFECT: The resultant composition shows high weathering resistance, chalking resistance, causes scarcely blooming and has high adjustability of foaming cells. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
