titleOfInvention L-glutamic oxidase
abstract PURPOSE: To prepare L-glutamic oxidase, by cultivating a microorganisms, belonging to the genus Streptomyces, and capable of producing the L-glutamic oxidase. n CONSTITUTION: A microorganism, belonging to the genus Stereptomyces, and capable of producing L-glutamic oxidase, e.g. Streptomyces voilascens H82N-SY7 (FERM-P No.5672), is inoculated into a nutrient culture medium and cultivated preferably by the submerged spinner liquid culture method with aeration to produce and accumulate the L-glutamic oxidase having the ability to produce α-ketoglutaric acid, ammonia and hydrogen peroxide by the oxidative deamination of the α-amino group in the L-glutamic acid in the presence of oxygen and water and high substrate specificity for the L-glutamic acid outside the microbial cells. The resultant L-glutamic oxidase is then collected. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
