titleOfInvention Production of blood preparation
abstract PURPOSE: Water-insoluble antithrombin-III is brought into contact with a blood preparation to remove trace amounts of hypotensive and coagulation-accelerating substances by adsorption in high efficiency, thus producing the objective blood preparation of high safety in high yield. n CONSTITUTION: Water-insoluble antithrombin-III is used and brought into contact with a blood preparation containing hypotensive and coagulation-accelerating substances as contaminants to remove these substances by adsorption. The purity of the starting blood preparation is higher than 40%, preferably higher than 60%. An example of the water-insoluble antithrombin is the reaction product between an insoluble support and antithrombin-III, which is preferably linked to the insoluble support through the carboxyl groups in its molecule. The adsorption is preferably conducted in the presence of a sulfated polysaccharide. The removal rate is higher than 90% and the recovery rate also is higher than 90%. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
