abstract PURPOSE: A remedy or prophylactic for respiratory diseases and bacterial diarrhea of swine that contains a triphenylmethane pigment and methylene blue as active ingredients. n CONSTITUTION: The remedy contains a triphenylmethane pigment such as Gentian violet or Crystal violet and methylene bule as active ingredients. It is used as a remedy or prophylactic for swine respiratory diseases such as transmissible atrophic rhinitis or transmissible pneumonia of swine and bacterial diseases such as bacterial diarrhea or coil infection and transmissible enterogastritis. For example, a mixed solution containing 0.01W2.5% tripherylmethane pigment and 0.001W1% of methylene blue is preferably combined with a surfactant and the composition is given to pigs, e.g., by spraying. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio
